On-demand streaming services comparison chart: Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ and mor…
There are a couple of different types of streaming services and some offer live TV — tap or click here to see our comparison chart on those.
For this chart, our focus will be the following on-demand streaming services:
Amazon Prime Video - Comes with an Amazon Prime membership or you can rent or purchase content from the Prime Video catalog without a membership. It offers tons of original content including "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel," "The Grand Tour," "Transparent," "Homecoming," "Sneaky Pete" and more.
Apple TV+ - Customers who purchase any new iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Mac or iPod touch can enjoy one year of Apple TV+ for free. Original content includes “The Morning Show,” starring Jennifer Aniston and Steve Carrell, and "Defending Jacob," starring former Captain America Chris Evans. Apple says new shows will be added monthly.
CBS All Access - Has a huge catalog of classic and current CBS shows and offers a few All Access exclusives including "The Twilight Zone," "Star Trek: Discovery," "The Good Fight" and more.
Disney+ - Not only will you find content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, National Geographic and the Star Wars universe here, but there will be plenty of never-before-seen original feature films, series, short-form content and documentaries. These include "Star Wars: The Mandalorian," "Lady and the Tramp," "Marvel Studios: Loki" and more.
HBO Max - HBO Max will combine content from HBO with a slate of original shows and other programming from Warner Bros., New Line, DC Entertainment and more. It will also be the exclusive home to one of your favorite shows from the '90s — "Friends."
HBO Now - This is your chance to watch HBO content without having an HBO subscription through a cable or satellite provider. Perfect for cord-cutters.
Hulu - One of the earliest streaming services, Hulu is still going strong with exclusive content including "Freakish," "Light as a Feather," "The Path" and more. It recently started letting you download content for offline viewing, but this is only for those with the ad-free plan.
Netflix - This is the streaming service that set the standard years ago. It might be losing some of its favor with so much competition snatching content away, but Netflix is still going strong with original programming like "Stranger Things," "The Great British Bake Off," "Black Mirror" and more.
